About

Cycling Valley (cycling park) is a place where cyclists can experience the best cycling at any level.

In addition, the park is supplemented with services that create the ultimate cycling experience, such as shops with the best coffee, healthy and nutritious food & drink and of course a nice atmosphere, as well as with partners who can provide certain expertise, such as a physiotherapist, a nutritionist or a travel agency for cycling holidays.

Cycling Valley

Cycling Valley is a place where cyclists can experience the best cycling at any level.

A cycling park in Roden with:

  • 5 different challenging mountain bike routes
  • A BMX track
  • A cycling route with spectacular elements (such as literally cycling through buildings).
  • An experience centre where you can see and test the latest innovations in the bicycle industry (e.g. e-bikes, road bikes, gears, clothing or virtual ride settings).

How the idea for Cycling Valley originated

The reason for Cycling Valley is the changing context for businesses. Social and innovative developments create new challenges for companies to attract and retain customers. Simply offering the best quality or the lowest price is often no longer enough. What we are seeing is the shift towards an economy in which customers are involved in the development of a product, the so-called ‘Experience Economy’.

In sports we see that the demand for the nature of sport is changing; think for example of adding ‘cool’ sports to the Olympic sports such as BMX, skateboarding and surfing. In addition, the character of the sport is changing and technical developments are playing an increasingly important role.
